Welcome to the beginning of the RecognAIze project — a new Erasmus+ project that brings together partners from across Europe to make learning more inclusive through AI in Education.

Our work officially starts now, and we are excited to share our journey with you.

Why We Need More Inclusive Vocational Training and Better AI in Education

Many learners in Vocational Education and Training (VET) have Specific Learning Difficulties (SLDs), such as dyslexia, dysgraphia, or dyscalculia. These learners often face barriers when accessing training, support, or career guidance.

At the same time, teachers and trainers want tools that help them create fair and accessible learning environments.

The world is changing fast, and AI is becoming part of everyday life, including education. But many VET providers do not yet know how to use AI safely, effectively, and in a way that supports inclusion.

RecognAIze answers this need.
It helps VET providers understand how AI can support learners with SLDs, improve teaching practices, and open new paths to guidance and employment.

What RecognAIze Will Do

RecognAIze is an Erasmus+ Cooperation Partnership in Vocational Education and Training, funded by the European Union.
It brings together six organisations from Belgium, Ireland, Italy, and the Netherlands: Techno.bel, European Vocational Training Association, Studio Saperessere, Fondazione Don Agostini ENAIP, Dyslexia Ireland and Endurance.

Together, we work to:

  • explore the latest AI tools for education
  • understand how AI can support learners with SLDs
  • help VET providers grow their digital capacity
  • create accessible and practical learning resources
  • share knowledge with teachers, trainers, mentors, employers and policy makers

Our goal is simple:
Make VET more inclusive through responsible and meaningful use of AI.

Throughout the project, we will produce a series of resources designed for trainers, mentors, employability professionals, and learners.

These include:

1. A review of AI tools for learners with SLDs

A clear and easy-to-use overview of existing tools that can help students learn, organise work, read, write or solve problems.

2. A Digital Maturity Assessment for VET providers

A practical tool to help training organisations understand how ready they are to use AI and inclusive technologies.

3. Training for VET teachers

Workshops and materials on how to support learners with SLDs and how to integrate AI tools in teaching.

4. Short learning videos for mentors and employers

Simple guidance on how to support trainees or employees with SLDs in the workplace.

5. Workshops on detecting SLDs and offering personalised career guidance

Helping professionals provide better, more inclusive career guidance using practical steps and AI-supported approaches.

6. An international community of VET professionals

A growing network that exchanges experiences, solutions, and best practices on AI in Education .

All results will be published on our website under “Resources”.
